lights, camera, action: studio memphis

since i love to travel, i’ve been able to meet up with other sisterhood of the traveling lenses meetup participants/’tog buddies since we had our amazing event in march 2012.  i had the wonderful opportunity to get together with my fellow sistog and dear friend, Arekah the Goddess, while me and hubbie do wop were in the M to visit family during Christmas.

while i work natural light, arekah is a studio phenom all the way. i do mostly portraits while Arekah focuses on fashion.  we talked about collaborating the next time i was in town.  weather did not permit us to work magic outdoors, but man…did we have a BALL shooting inside Arekah’s studio.  as i shot on one side with one model, she shot on the other.  then we’d switch.  it was a well choreographed, and in my opinion, well performed dance.  we already know we have to do this again.  by the time we were done, we had been shooting for hours and i hadn’t even realized it!!!!

the model below is my handsome and hilarious brother in law, russell.  i’ll already state now that i take inquiries for him.  lol  i hope you enjoy this as much as i did.  happened in 2012 but will be remembered well in 2013 and beyond.
